Glaciers, wildlife, and a delicious lunch... just an hour from Anchorage.
Destination: Located 75 miles south of Anchorage, Whittier is the western gateway to Prince William Sound.
Season: Tours depart daily from mid May through mid September, and range in duration from 4 hours to 6 hours, departing at 11:00 am and 1:30 pm. All cruises depart from Whittier.
Comfort: All vessels offer multi-level walk around viewing decks, large windows, spacious heated cabins with comfortable indoor seating for all guests, a snack bar and restrooms. All vessels are handicap accessible.
Staff: Our Captains and crew are dedicated to providing an experience that exceeds your expectations. Narration is provided by our captains, who are the most experienced in the industry and skilled at navigating the waters of Prince William Sound.
Glaciers: Cruise into Harriman Fjord to view the massive tidewater glaciers reaching up to 300 feet! Visit Blackstone Bay dotted with alpine glaciers and home to the spectacular tidewater glaciers of Blackstone and Beloit Glaciers.
Wildlife: Prince William Sound is home to many species of marine wildlife and sea birds. Depending on the tour and time of year, cruises may encounter whales, sea lions, sea otters, sea birds, eagles, seals, and mountain goats.
Scenery: Watch for wildlife as your captain slowly navigates the narrows of Esther Passage. Visit the Wally Noerberg Fish Hatchery and learn about the life cycle of salmon.
Education: Our Glacier Adventure Cruise provides guests the opportunity to view plankton collected from the waters of Prince William Sound under a microscope. We also offer Marine Science tours that promote awareness of our environment, weather conditions and allow students to perform experiments.
Free Lunch: Alaska King Crab Cakes, rice pilaf, roll and beverage are served for lunch during each cruise.
